About Aliza
Aliza Podwol ERYT 500h, PRYT, Personal Yoga Teacher
Aliza grew up as a middle child of four in Orange County, CA before moving to the Chicago suburbs just before her 12th birthday. She later spent about 6 years in Australia before coming back to California and settling in Los Angeles. She considers herself to be an open-minded world traveler with a thirst for learning.
Aliza first experienced yoga in high school, where she was able to choose yoga as a P.E. elective. Since then, yoga has always been a way for Aliza to destress, calm her busy mind and has always been a part of her dedicated fitness routine. In 2013, after a painful breakup, Aliza found yoga a source of comfort and discovered the deeper healing benefits of yoga. Soon after, she enrolled in her first 200 hour yoga teacher training and has since completed many trainings and taught over 10,000 hours of yoga and yoga teacher training.
She has taught yoga to people of all ages and abilities from children to seniors and in various settings including a rehabilitation center to corporate offices and everything in between. In teaching yoga, Aliza aims to provide a welcoming, judgment-free and authentic space to challenge her students in an accessible way to promote healing and make her students stronger physically and mentally.
